Stainless where it matters.
Plastic bowls and fountains can hold on to grime in their scratches and seams. Naile's drinking tray is 304 stainless steel, the same grade used in kitchen sinks, so the surface your cat drinks from stays smooth and easy to wipe clean.
The tank underneath is clear on purpose. You can see the water level and the moment it needs a refresh, so nothing builds up out of sight.
Everyday care
Lift. Rinse. Return.
Once a week, lift the pump module off, rinse the tray and tank, and put it back. Swap the filter once a month and recharge roughly every two months.
Because the electronics sit in the module on top, there's no cable to unthread and nothing electrical sitting in the water while you clean.
Sensor mode
Silent until they walk up.
Some cats avoid fountains because of the constant hum. In sensor mode, Naile waits quietly, starts a fresh stream when your cat comes within two metres, then stops after ten seconds.
Prefer constant flow? Switch to continuous. Want a gentle reminder through the day? Timer mode runs a short stream every 15 minutes.

Set Naile next to their usual bowl and start in sensor mode, so the water only moves when they're close.

Let curiosity do the work
Expect sniffing, pawing and watching before the first drink. That's normal. Keep the old bowl nearby.

Once they've had a few drinks, move the old bowl a little further away each day.

What if my cat won't drink from it?
Some cats need a few days to trust anything new. Follow the 7-day switch: place Naile next to their usual bowl, start in sensor mode and move the old bowl away gradually. If your cat still won't use it within 30 days, contact us and return it for a full refund.
Is it noisy?
In sensor mode the pump only runs for ten seconds when your cat comes close, so most of the time it's completely silent. In continuous mode you'll hear a gentle trickle of water.
How long does the battery last?
Around 60 days per charge, depending on the mode and how often your cat drinks. Continuous flow uses the most power. When it's time, lift the module off and recharge it. There's no cable on the floor in between.
How often do I clean it and change the filter?
Rinse the tray and tank once a week and swap the filter once a month. The pump module lifts straight off, so a full clean takes a few minutes.
Is any of it plastic?
The drinking tray your cat drinks from is 304 stainless steel. The tank underneath and the pump housing are plastic. The tank is clear on purpose, so you can always see the water level.
Is it suitable for older cats or several cats?
One fountain holds 3.1 litres, which suits one or two cats. If you have an older cat who spends most of the day upstairs, or a few cats, the Two-Floor Set puts fresh water on every floor without needing a socket.
